The main goals of the Highland Region Sport Summit were to:

• Provide an overview and insight into the Canadian Sport for Life movement, discussing the connection and advantages to community sport;

• Build relationships by bringing together community sport leaders in the Highland Region;

• Increase communication, the sharing of resources and networking to enhance the health and wellness of our Region through quality sport and physical activity;

• Offer facilitated sessions aimed at assisting community sport organizations to operate more effectively; and,

• Create an environment for continuous improvement in our community sport delivery through the identification of next steps in education, training and support.
